Laurie Brubaker

Head of Integrated Health and Productivity Solutions, Product Group

Laurie Brubaker is Head of Integrated Health and Productivity Solutions for the Product Group. In this role, Ms. Brubaker’s focus is to strengthen integration by leveraging the synergies that exist between the Behavioral Health, Aetna Pharmacy Management, Mail Order Delivery, Specialty Pharmacy, and Disability and Absence Management businesses.

By seamlessly integrating the Product Group’s products and services, the goal is to enhance customers’ bottom line and improve health outcomes for our members, which will in turn promote member engagement.

Ms. Brubaker is currently on the Board of Directors for the Aetna Foundation and provides leadership on various enterprise councils including the Strategic Advisory Council, Next Generation of Leaders Council, Public Policy Advisory Council and HR Customer Board. In February, 2008, Laurie was named as one of the “Top 15 Women in Business” by PINK Magazine, a national magazine for professional women. This exclusive list – also called “The Innovators” – profiles the most influential women driving innovation (and revenue) in corporate America. And in July, 2008 Laurie was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Business by the Dallas Business Journal.

In her previous role, Ms. Brubaker was Chief Operating Officer for the Consumer Segment. In this role, she was responsible for leading the field operations for Aetna’s integrated businesses across Retiree and Individual Markets. She also managed the group sales strategy for Aetna’s Medicare products, national broker relationships and Aetna’s AARP business.

Prior to that, Ms. Brubaker was Head of Individual Markets, where she was responsible for launching a new business that has grown from 5 states with 38,000 members to 29 states/DC and 326,000 members. She was responsible for profit and loss responsibility for this product including direct-to-consumer and broker sales, product, pricing, underwriting and consumer/broker service functions.

She joined Aetna in 1988 and has held senior management positions in several areas of the organization including: Customer Service & Operations, Sales and Marketing, Network Management, Process Reengineering and General Sales and Financial Management.

In addition to her Aetna experience, Ms. Brubaker held management positions within the health insurance industry with various companies including the Blue Cross & Blue Shield plans within New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and Cigna HealthCare.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in clinical psychology and education from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA.
